Inner Experiences with the MAHANTA
By Sephora Imomoh

When my beautiful daughter was three years old, she shared a fascinating experience with me.
Every night at bedtime we do a family spiritual exercise. We begin by taking turns saying what we are grateful for. Then, before we sing HU, her dad or I read from the “Quote of the Day” page (under Daily Inspiration) on the Eckankar.org website.
One day as I was about to read the quote, my daughter said, “Let me, Mom! Let me read.” So I passed her the phone, and she looked at the words on the screen, but instead of reading the quote, she shared her own special message. She said, “I am with the MAHANTA, and I give him an apple, and he takes it from me, and then he gives it back to me.” She said some other deeply spiritual things which I cannot remember now, and then we sang HU.
I was so happy that she was having her own inner experiences.
A short while later, we were in our kitchen, and she said to me, “Mom, I would like to tell you something. Last night, I was on my bed, and I saw Wah Z standing there.”
I asked her, “Then what happened?”
She said, “Wah Z gave me his hand, and I took it. Then he waved his hand, and a big rainbow appeared! I jumped on the rainbow, and we went on a big slide to the other side. Then he waved his hand again, and another rainbow appeared, so I jumped on that rainbow, too, and went down another slide.”
I told her that was a lovely experience.
As three-year-olds do, she then turned her attention to something else, but I couldn’t wait to tell her dad when I saw him. We are both so grateful she is aware of the MAHANTA’s presence in her life.
